David Kimmel
Mr. Kimmel has a wide range of advising, investing, and operational experiences for over 35 years ranging from serving innovative start-ups to the largest global insurance companies. Prior to co-founding Insurance Advisory Partners, David was a Senior Advisor on the InsurTech Strategy Board of Advisors at Hudson Structured Capital Management and a Managing Partner and Founder of Summit Capital, a merchant banking boutique, where he advised and invested in a range of financial services and technology clients. He was previously CEO of CyberRiskPartners, a cyber risk analytics and risk transfer solutions company, and was a frequent speaker on cyber risk at national industry conferences and senior executive off-sites.
Prior to this, Mr. Kimmel was an investment banker for more than two decades in the US and UK. He advised insurance clients regarding mergers and acquisitions and public and private capital raising while serving at JPMorgan, Deutsche Bank, and Kidder Peabody. Mr. Kimmel led the insurance industry practices at JPMorgan and Deutsche Bank and served on the Investment Banking Management Committees at both firms. Over the course of his career, he has advised on billions of dollars in significant M&A transactions and financings for industry leaders in insurance. Mr. Kimmel has also been named to public and private company boards in a variety of sectors, including reinsurance, life insurance and annuities, cyber risk, asset management, fintech, and insurtech.
Mr. Kimmel holds an MBA from Kellogg at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Illinois, with matriculation in the James Scholar Program in Engineering. He has also completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Harvard Kennedy School, and MIT. He is committed to exceptional performance and overcoming major challenges, as also demonstrated by the completion of seven 140.6 mile Ironman triathlons within a three-year period, age group wins in triathlon, and speed mountaineering ascents.

Antonio (Tony) Ursano, JR

Tony located in New York has over 39 years of insurance industry and investment banking experience. He has seen the global insurance, insurance services and insurtech space from a broad lens of leading global investment banks, a leading global insurance and reinsurance broker, and a Bermuda-based speciality insurance and reinsurance carrier.
Tony has been involved in advising on over 150 insurance M&A transactions and hundreds of insurance capital raising transactions, spanning the spectrum of IPOs, common equity, convertible, preferred, debt, surplus, note, hybrid, and ILS deals.
Tony has always been a staunch advocate for his clients, consistently delivering honest, objective, thoughful, and creative advice. He is an effective and expert negotiator who understands the finesse and art of the deal. He is a builder and an innovator and has frequently written and spoken about trends in the global insurance, insurance services and Insurtech industries and on what the insurer of the future will look like.
Tony started his career as an analyst at Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, went to work at Merrill Lynch and SG Warburg before building and heading the Global Financial Institutions Group at Bank of America for 10 years before being named a Vice- Chairman. Tony then became head of corporate development for Willis Group and Founder and CEO of Willis Capital Markets and Advisory before going to TigerRisk Partners as President of the firm and CEO of TigerRisk Capital Markets and Advisory. Most recently before co-founding Insurance Advisory Partners, Tony was Group CFO of Hamilton Insurance Group and also served as member of the baord of directors of Hamilton for a period of two years. Currently Tony also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Assured Guaranty LTD.
Tony graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1987 as a Morehead Scholar where he majored in Economics and International studies. He was also a member of UNCs varsity lacrosee team which won the NCAA Division 1 National Championship in 1986. Prior to that, Tony graduated summa cum laude from Woodberry Forest School.
Tony acts as the Chairman of the Industry Board of Advisors of, and was instrumental in the founding of, the Institute for Risk Management and Insurance Innovation at UNC Chapel Hill. He also serves on the Morehead Cain Scholarship Fund Board at UNC Chapel Hill.

Stephen Evangelista
Senior Analyst
Stephen joined Insurance Advisory Partners in July 2021. Prior to IAP, Stephen worked at Lloyds Bank where he completed a 2 year analyst rotational program through FX Sales, Financial Institutions Coverage, Financial Institutions Credit, and Debt Capital Markets. Following the rotational program, he joined the Financial Institutions Coverage team as an Associate, focusing on corporate banking for global (re)insurers and brokers.
Stephen is a magna cum laude graduate of Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business where he majored in Finance and minored in Economics. He is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63) and a Limited Representative – Investment Banking (Series 79). He has also passed the CFA Level 1 and Level 2 exams.
Steve Frank
Associate
Steve is an Associate at Insurance Advisory Partners and joined IAP in August 2021.
Prior to joining IAP, Steve worked at Lloyds Bank where he was part of the Financial Institutions Group. Within the Financial Institutions industry, Steve focused on the global (re)insurers / brokers and sponsors verticals.
Steve graduated from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business where he majored in Finance and received a concentration in Alternative Investments. Steve is registered with FINRA as a General Securities Representative (Series 7 and 63).
Tyler Linders
Partner
Tyler joined Insurance Advisory Partners as a Partner in the firm’s New York office in August 2021.
Tyler is a Partner at Insurance Advisory Partners (“IAP”), where he is responsible for sourcing transactions and advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic initiatives across the insurance industry. Since joining IAP in August 2021, Tyler has played a key role in executing complex transactions and fostering long-term relationships with a broad range of clients, including retail and wholesale brokers, managing general agents and underwriters, and property and casualty as well as life and annuity (re)insurers.
Prior to joining IAP, Tyler held various investment banking roles at Wells Fargo Securities, where he specialized in advising financial institutions, with an emphasis on the insurance sector. During his tenure, he executed a broad spectrum of M&A and capital markets transactions, developing a deep expertise in deal structuring, valuation, and strategic advisory.
Tyler holds FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses. He graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business with a double major in Finance and Accounting.
Outside of work, Tyler is a former professional motorcycle racer, having competed at the national level within the American Motorcyclist Association in 2012 and 2013 – an experience that underscores his discipline, focus, and drive for excellence.
